Celine Laurelle Tang is a classically trained Chinese dance artist and choreographer, celebrated for fusing traditional elegance with contemporary innovation. A Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) graduate from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), she has represented Hong Kong at prestigious global platforms including the 13th Taoli Cup in Beijing and the Greater Bay Dance Festival in Shenzhen. Her choreographic vision has garnered international acclaim, earning top honors such as the Gold Award at the Bauhinia Cup Dance Championships (2024).
As a four-time Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholar and HKAPA Outstanding Student Award recipient, Celine bridges technical mastery with evocative storytelling. Beyond performance, she champions cultural dialogue through her digital arts platform dancesouls_, where she curates dance critiques, artist interviews, and original creations. Passionate about nurturing future generations, she serves as a Dance Teacher for the Hong Kong Dance Company’s Children and Youth Troupes.
Celine’s practice is rooted in reimagining heritage, transforming classical Chinese dance into dynamic, cross-cultural conversations that resonate across stages and communities worldwide.
